Establishment of Commercial Poultry Unit (Broiler)

Project Objective

To establish a scientifically managed, technology-driven commercial broiler poultry unit focused on large-scale poultry meat production, sustainable income generation, and strengthening the agri-livestock ecosystem through modern and efficient farming practices.

The enterprise will operate on the core principle of “By Women, For Women, and With Women”, promoting meaningful women empowerment and livelihood creation in rural areas.

This project is envisioned as a first-of-its-kind AI-enabled and IoT-based integrated agri-tech initiative, combining smart farm automation, data-driven monitoring, and scientific management to ensure high productivity, sustainability, and scalable growth.

Production Capacity & Infrastructure

  • Broiler Unit Capacity: 12,000 birds per batch
  • Annual Cycles: 5–6 batches per year
  • Total Sheds: 2 scientifically designed sheds
  • Area Requirement: 12,800 sq. ft. per shed
  • Optimized layout for efficient ventilation, hygiene, and bird welfare

Technology & Farm Management

  • Deep litter system with scientifically designed housing
  • Strict vaccination schedule and bio-security protocols
  • Continuous veterinary supervision
  • Quality feed management and performance monitoring
  • Modern farming practices ensuring low mortality and high productivity

Employment Generation

  • Direct Employment: 2–3 skilled personnel for farm operations
  • Indirect Employment: Feed suppliers, transport services, veterinary support, and local supply chain stakeholders
